Fredrik Tjærandsen is a visual artist and designer from Bodo, Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. Tjærandsen graduated from BA Fashion Womenswear at Central Saint Martins in 2019 having received a Les Visionnaires scholarship. His graduate collection, Moments Of Clarity, garnered viral attention for his 'Bubble' pieces, latex balloons blown up to engulf the wearer as dresses or skirts. The Bubble going on to appear in LOVE 22 magazine and MOVINGLOVE as styled by Katie Grand.

In 2019, Tjærandsen was awarded the L'Oréal Professionnel Young Talent Award and the MullenLowe NOVA Award. Tjærandsen has also worked at Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. In 2019, his work featured in the V&A exhibition, Tim Walker: Wonderful Things.
