Franco Gobbi is an Italian-born, New York-based hairstylist.

Born in Romagna, Italy, Gobbi began working as a hairdresser at 14 and went on to found his own hair salon in Central Riccione, Italy, at 21 years old.

A longtime member of London-based cyberpunk artist collective, Mutold Waste Company, Gobbi’s passion for art led him to collaborate with photographers including Nan Goldin, Paolo Roversi, Juergen Teller, and Ellen von Unwerth. He has also styled the hair of musicians including Bjork, Katy Perry, and Courtney Love.

As co-founder and creative director of Fragile Cosmetics, Gobbi has translated his artistic sensibilities into a line of vegan, cruelty-free hair and body products. His multifaceted career comprises a 34-year intersection with applied art, fashion, and beauty.

His work has been featured on the cover of publications such as Elle Italia, V Magazine, 032c, and Vogue Russia. Gobbi has also worked with brands including Ferrari, Prada, and Dsquared2.
