El Delgado Buil was a fashion brand founded by designers Anna Figuera Delgado and Macarena Ramos Buil. The label was formed in 2004 and showed at Barcelona Fashion Week.
El Delgado Buil’s garments made references to elements of iconic American culture, including fifties Americana and road movies. Both designers took inspiration from diverse media, from the photography of Nacho Alegrel, Juergen Teller, and Diane Arbus, to the aesthetic conceptions of John Waters or Miranda July as well as the Ramones and The Clash.
In 2006 they set up their shop in Barcelona, where their studio and showroom and was; the shop, Cuatroseis, was founded in partnership with Flora and Lawhite. Their A/W 07 collection, entitled My Family Goes To Oklahoma won the L’Oréal Prize for best collection by new designers. In 2010, they closed the label due to economic pressures post-global recession.
