Diva Gujral is a PhD scholar at the department of History of Art, University College London, as well as a freelance writer and curator. Her research looks at photographic practices in early independent India in relation to broader transnational networks of art and writing produced during the country's enactment of political and cultural non-alignment. She is co-author of the book Photography in India: A Visual History from the 1850s to the Present (Prestel Verlag 2019). She is based in London.
