Di Petsa

Fashion Designer

Di Petsa is a womenswear label by Greek designer Dimitra Petsa. Her designs explore female sexuality and deconstruct feelings of shame surrounding the female body. Her signature 'wet-look' dresses have been worn by the likes of FKA Twigs and Kali Uchis.

The designer began working with bodily fluids as part of her BA Performance Design and Practice course at Central Saint Martins, before transitioning onto the Fashion MA. For her graduate show The Wetness Collection, she developed her signature 'wet' look material and 'pee stain' trousers, in a performative take on the 'female gaze'. By being wet (although not literally) in public through Petsa’s designs, the wearer is intended to accept their bodily fluids. The collection was later performed at the Balice Hertling gallery in Paris.

Petsa's A/W 20 collection Wetness, The Water Broke looked to water inside the body, exploring rebirth and ecstatic birth, debuting with performances during London Fashion Week and in Paris.
