Dasha Selyanova

Designer

Dasha Selyanova was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. She studied graphic design and fashion design at Saint Petersburg State University and the British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow, before continuing her studies at Central Saint Martins in London.

After graduating, she completed a placement at east London label Danielle Scutt before assisting Mel Ottenberg in styling costumes for Rihanna's UK tour in the summer of 2012. Later that year, she launched her own label, ZDDZ, which operates out of London, Moscow, and Belgrade. Through utilitarian designs and striking graphic messages, ZDDZ explores social and political issues as well as difficulties closer to home such as teen depression and anxiety, which was the inspiration for the S/S 16 collection. ZDDZ collaborates with local and guest DJs at events around Europe and experiments with short documentary films to debut collections.

ZDDZ has been a part of the CFE (Centre for Fashion Enterprise) program in London and won the VFiles Made Fashion show in New York. The label has been featured by Dazed Digital, Highsnobiety, T Magazine, Vogue.com, and Bullett, amongst other international websites and magazines.
