Cathy Pill

Fashion Designer

Cathy Pill is a fashion designer living and working in Belgium.

After completing her studies at the E.N.S.A.V. of La Cambre, Pill went on to work as an intern for A.F. Vandevorst and Vivienne Westwood. In 2003, Pill won The Collection of the Year at Trieste's contest, and in 2005 she won sponsorships from La Fondation Pierre Bergé et Yves Saint Laurent and from Yves Saint Laurent at the Andam contest in France. In the same year, she went onto win the Fabio Inghirami Award in Italy and the Modo Bruxellae Price in Belgium.

Her first S/S 2006 collection titled Blink married Art Nouveau influenced sinuous patterns with draped and bunched silhouettes. Her first ready-to-wear collection was launched during the S/S 06 Paris Fashion Week. Pill also works as a consultant for other fashion houses and in 2007 she designed the costumes for the opera Frühlings Erwachen at the Royal Theatre of La Monnaie. Other renowned commissions include Pill's 'CD-dress' which was designed for a Canon campaign. In October 2008, Pill was chosen to design the We Speak Image collection for Canon Europe, alongside designers Matthew Williamson and Jean Charles de Castelbajac.

Pill is also co-founder and chief executive officer of MuseStyle.
