Born in Chicago in 1960, Bill Doig is a commercial artist who resides in Los Angeles. Working primarily in set design for the fashion industry, Doig collaborates with photographers and filmmakers Craig McDean, Jean-Baptiste Mondino and Donnie T. Myers among other visual artists, on projects for clients including Calvin Klein, Yohji Yamamoto, Jil Sander, Madonna, Dolce E Gabanna and Macy's. His work regularly appears in US, French and Italian Vogue, W, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Fashions of the Times (New York), Mad and other publications.

In 1997, Doig created the installations for the Whitney Museum of American Art's exhibition The Warhol Look, curated by Mark Francis, which examined Andy Warhol's influence on popular culture and style.
