Anok Yai is an Egyptian-born American model of South Sudanese descent. Yai signed with Next Models at the age of 19 and, within four months, became the second black model to open a Prada show after Naomi Campbell in 1997, and the first South Sudanese model to do so.

Yai has since appeared in a number of campaigns for Prada, as well as a campaign for Nike’s collaboration with Riccardo Tisci. She has appeared in editorials for Vogue, Dazed and V Magazine, and walked the runway in Louis Vuitton’s A/W 2018 show. In July 2018, Yai became an Estée Lauder spokesmodel and now ranks as one of the ‘Top 50’ models by models.com.
