Amrou Al-Kadhi is a writer, performer and filmmaker. They are a drag performer, most notably with drag troupe Denim, as well as a screenwriter (including regular writing for Hollyoaks). They have feature films in development with Film4 and BBC Films, and their first book, UNICORN: The Memoir of a Muslim Drag Queen, was published with 4th Estate Harper Collins in October 2019. As a freelance writer, they have contributed to various publications including the Guardian, Independent Voices, Gay Times, theObserver, i-Paper, i-D , Dazed, Little White Lies, Gay Star News and Hunger Magazine.
