Fashion Designer

Marios Schwab is a Greek-Austrian fashion designer based in London. He began his studies in Berlin where he graduated with a distinction and Best Student Award from Esmod. Schwab later completed an MA in Womenswear at Central Saint Martins in 2003 and subsequently went on to design the S/S 04 womenswear collection for Kim Jones.

For S/S 06 and A/W 06 he showed at London Fashion Week as part of Fashion East: he was critically acclaimed by both press and buyers for his body-conscious silhouettes and metallic appliqués. He debuted on schedule at London Fashion Week for S/S 07. Schwab’s S/S 08 show was chosen as one of the top ten collections of the season by Style.com. Schwab’s clothes have been featured in American Vogue, Bazaar USA, French Vogue, Russian Vogue, i-D, Self Service, V Magazine, AnOther Magazine and Dazed & Confused amongst others. His stockists include Browns, Harvey Nichols and Dover Street Market in London, Maria Luisa in Paris, Side-by-Side in Tokyo and Opening Ceremony and Barneys in New York.

Schwab was awarded Best New Designer at the British Fashion Awards in 2006 and in 2007 was the winner of the Swiss Textiles Award. In 2009, Marios Schwab was appointed chief designer of the New York fashion house Halston, and he left in 2011.
