Henry Holland

Fashion Designer

Henry Holland is an English fashion designer, and founder of House of Holland. Manchester-born Holland graduated from the London College of Printing with a BA in Journalism, and in 2006, an idea for a T-shirt he made for his friend and designer Gareth Pugh emblazoned with the rhyming couplet ‘UHU Gareth Pugh’ developed into a series of graphic-inspired T-shirts. House of Holland was born, and became notorious for it's bold, tongue-in-cheek approach, with early designs referencing slogan tees of the eighties and featuring rhymes about fashion figures such as Giles Deacon and Naomi Campbell. Holland was quickly picked up by the fashion initiative Fashion East, and has shown solo on-schedule during London Fashion Week since 2008.

In 2009, Holland launched a fragrance as part of the Six Scents project alongside designers Richard Nicoll and Phillip Lim. A year later, his line H! By Henry Holland was launched exclusively at British department store Debenhams. He has collaborated with labels such as Levi's, Superga and Le Specs to name a few, co-presented the series Frock Me and appeared as a judge on Styled to Rock.

Recognised as a proponent of the new wave of London fashion talent, Holland's work has gained international press coverage, with the formidable Anna Wintour being an early supporter. House of Holland was stocked in Browns Focus, Net-A-Porter, Colette, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Opening Ceremony.

In April 2020, Henry Holland announced the closure of House of Holland.
