Dasha Zhukova

Dasha Zhukova is the founder of the IRIS Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the understanding and development of contemporary culture throughout the world. Through IRIS, Zhukova launched the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Moscow, which has become the city’s most prominent venue for modern and contemporary art.
In addition to her work with non-profits, Dasha Zhukova has been involved in a number of successful business ventures in the fashion and design fields. In 2006, she co-founded the fashion label Kova & T with her childhood friend Christina Tang. Throughout 2009 and 2010, Zhukova served as Editor-in-Chief of POP Magazine. Creating a nexus between the worlds of art and fashion, her editorship featured collaborative covers between Damien Hirst and Tavi Gevinson; Richard Prince and Abbey Lee; and Takashi Murakami and Britney Spears. In 2010, she was named creative director and founding partner of the startup art discovery website, Art.sy.
In September 2011, Zhukova launched the latest extension of the Garage CCC, Garage Magazine.
