Vienna-based designer Claudia Rosa Lukas graduated from the University of Applied Arts in 1997, where she was taught by Vivienne Westwood, Helmut Lang, Marc Bohan and Jean Charles de Castelbajac.

Lukas won the Fashion Award of the City of Vienna in 2001, and in 2002 was one of the finalists in the 17th Festival International des Arts de la Mode à Hyères in France. She is one of the 25 privileged European designers to join the European Commission's EU Gateway to Japan project, introducing constantly evolving, inventive European fashion to a Japanese audience. In addition to her seasonal participation in Paris Fashion Week since 2001, Lukas also works in the fields of multimedia and costume design. She is also the founder of AUSTRIANFASHION.NET.
