Artist Claudia Maté was born in Spain in 1985 and now lives and works in London. Her works encompass a variety of mediums including programming, 3D, video, animated GIFs and sound. She seeks to blend the familiar with the strange, the futuristic with the retro, forging a surreal universe of her own creation.
She is co-founder and curator at cloaque.org and her work has been exhibited internationally in New York City, Madrid, Paris, Canada, Croatia, Italy, Berlin, Chile, Canada, Buenos Aires, Switzerland, Venezuela, Lima, Peru and London, as well as online.
