Abzal Issa Bekov is a menswear designer. Born in a northern town in Kazakhstan, Issa Bekov graduated from Central Saint Martins' MA programme in 2016. His designs are often inspired by queer cinema, his mother’s craftsmanship and the USSR. Issa Bekov was the first designer from Kazakhstan to have a collection open the Central Saint Martins MA graduate show at London Fashion Week. In 2018, Issa Bekov joined Louis Vuitton as a menswear ready-to-wear designer.
