Live Review: Moschino S/S 24 Womenswear

published on 21 September 2023

Live from Milan, editor Hetty Mahlich reviews the Moschino S/S 24 womenswear collection.

Like Tom Ford without Tom, what is Moschino without Jeremy Scott? This is a question fashion insiders have been asking ever since it was announced Scott would leave the brand after ten years at the helm.

Marking the brand's 40th anniversary, Moschino instead handed the reigns to four stylists to create a show in four acts, calling upon Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Lucia Liu and Katie Grand to interpret their visions of Franco Moschino's legacy. A cool idea in concept but not nearly as creative in reality, Mahlich notes of her worry at fashion's increasing obsession with the curation of old ideas rather than fresh new designs filling the runway.
