Panel Discussion: Balmain S/S 22

Otamere Guobadia is joined by Benji Park, Darkwah Kyei-Darkwah and Mandi Lennard to discuss the Balmain S/S 22 show staged by creative director Olivier Rousteing to celebrate the designer's tenth anniversary at the helm of the luxury house.

With a show that saw Rousteing joined by a stellar cast including supermodels Naomi Campbell and Carla Bruni, and a performance by Doja Cat, the panellists discuss whether the much-anticipated Balmain Festival lived up to its hype.

While the panellists acknowledge Rousteing's overall self-referential tone in his S/S 22 show, debating the collection's commerciality and styling choices, they also turn their heads to discuss the issue of diversity amongst Paris's glorified fashion houses, arguing the city's reluctance to move with the times outside of casting the stereotypical young and thin white model.
