Collection Video: Études S/S 21 Menswear

by Grégoire Dyer on 9 July 2020

Directed by Grégoire Dyer, this sequential film captures the Études S/S 21 menswear collection. Entitled Yes Future, the film was shot across the 20th arrondissement of Paris, near the collective's creative studio. As each protagonist replaces the last in a game of sliding doors, natural reflections arise as the collection’s airbrush elements mirror the urban graffiti of the neighbourhood.

Made in collaboration with the American art photographer Roe Ethridge, who both photographed the silhouettes and contributed photographic prints to them, the collection by Aurélien Arbet, Jérémie Egry and José Lamali is an interrogation of the tropes of American menswear from the desert and the mountains to the sea.
