Any Matthew Williamson collection is a procession of greatest hits, such is the designer's affinity with his customer base and their invariably jet-set lifestyles.
And so, there was the party girl take on boucle separates, short and sweet; the pretty applique on glitter minidresses hemmed with marabou trim; the sharp and slick kickflare for their endless legs; and some palm print Ibiza staples in ruched minidresses that owed much to Versace in his heyday and billowed trains behind them.
That isn't to say it's a label in stasis, more that it knows its own mind. There was an inflection of the seventies mood gripping others this season, in suede suiting and bishop sleeve blouses, and the hibiscus trend seems to have trickled down too.
But the collection was about be fabulous first and foremost - 'fashion' in and of itself takes second place for the MW girl.
