Agi & Sam are certainly going places - after three seasons with MAN they are now showing on-schedule solo, and have just had a highly successful, and highly publicised, Topman collaboration under their belt. It's apt then that Agi Mdumulla and Sam Cotton were riffing on travel this season, with suiting prints that could have been lifted straight from the Thameslink trainline or London's own bus seats. Their press release - a spot of creative writing penned by long-time supporter Charlie Porter - mused on the contrast in dressing styles between different generations. The theme of moving forward while looking back suits the duo. Nostalgia is central to lots of what they do, but so too is innovation, today seen most clearly in their techy 3D prints and taped seams.

Durability seemed to be the main take away from this collection. Those colourful, patterned fabrics that are used for seats on public transport are selected for the same reason heavily patterned prints are chosen for pub carpets - they conceal all manner of sins like mud, dust and spillages, and stand the test of time. This collection was also built to last - those fitted suits and that sporty outerwear, including a great oversized cream parka, were clothes with a life beyond the runway and beyond just one season.
