Show Report: Vionnet S/S 14 Demi Couture

What was most lovely at Hussein Chalayan's demi couture debut was the sort of portal he created on the first few dresses. It was a subtle coencentric circle burst that traveled down the dress, from the left hip to the right hip, back to the left hip and down to the knees. These first few dresses were loose, languid and pale peach, nude, lavender and chartreuse. The rest was a little more confusing, though there was a lovely white sheer dress with an apron of appropriately opaque fabric and the opposite: a sheer cape over a thick red-orange dress.
