Do you remember the Stargate-craze from the ninties - that sci-fi mash up of ancient civilizations and aliens? It's cool, you don't have to. Atelier Versace can explain. Donatella Versace kicked off this season's couture shows with a collection that captured what a woman might need for a particular sort of time travel. Where you find men that are mythic heroes of Homer mixed with bad boys of Philip K. Dick, there too will be Versace-wearing priestesses.

What sort of outfit works for both the Egyptian pyramids and outer space? It's all about a goddess dress with mystic drapery, all covered with futuristic metallic shapes. For when it's cold out there in universe, there's a cotton candy blue and grey raccoon striped fur to throw over desert-dwelling toga cum flight suits. Of course, fashion thinks more red carpet than Red Planet, meaning the black spangled cape sleeve pant suit or baby pink body hugging number might win out, the purple and chartreuse hooded dresses are strictly for Queen Amidala.
