British administrator of masculine style Oliver Spencer was inspired by Russian modernism and the work of painter Ben Nicholson for his Spring 2013 collection. Spencer presented a signature refined collection of tailoring, knitwear and jersey pieces in a calming colour palette of cobalt blue, burnt orange and racing green. Textiles are core to Spencer’s collections and intrinsic to the success of his clothes with up to 50 per cent of his fabrics sourced from UK mills.
A diverse group of weathered gents sported suede bomber jackets, single-pleat pants and print silk jackets. With smart model casting, Spencer brings diversity to his catwalk presentations, encouraging men of all ages and to wear his designs.
Conservative yet innovative, Spencer's clothes successfully strike a balance between being covetable and cool. A self-taught tailor the brand is an expression of the designer himself – his own tastes, style and ultimately his own wardrobe.
With celebrity attendees including, Dermot O’Leary, David Gandy, Ben Fogle, and TV presenter Reggie Yates, Spencer’s reality approach to menswear is confidently infiltrating the mainstream. Satisfying the style needs of the modern men is Spencer’s distinct DNA.
