Kris Van Assche takes quite a beating at Dior Homme with many industry insiders slating his design efforts with the global brand. While Van Assche’s own collection tends to explore a strict monochromatic viewpoint, at Dior Homme the designer employs a clear distinction by a confident colour palette.
For next spring Kris Van Assche presented a sharply tailored collection in bold navy and red and ensued with the military tailoring from the previous season. Various incarnation of blazers, striped jumpers and slim pants were smart and offered a diverse wardrobe for the mobile urbanite.
The buttoned up gear was sharp and perfectly executed, a beautifully simple and modern collection by Van Assche, which defined Dior Homme as simultaneously luxurious and austere.
