Mahlich begins by explaining the guest designer model that the maison introduced in 2021. This time around Rabanne's creative director, Julien Dossena, tasked with reimagining Gaultier's extensive archive. The result, according to Mahlich, was a futurist spectacle that linked Gaultier's past with Rabanne's future featuring the designer's reimagining of pinstripe suiting and the cone bra.
