Live Review: Iris van Herpen A/W 23 Haute Couture

Live from Paris, editor Hetty Mahlich reviews the Iris van Herpen A/W 23 haute couture collection.

The Dutch designer expands on her futurist aesthetic with a collection that looks to the natural world. Mahlich notes the ‘biophilic’ technique in which the designer uses laser cutting and silicone to achieve the protruding silhouettes reminiscent of exoskeletons. For our editor it’s van Herpen’s ability to capture movement with her designs that is her creative forte.
