Live Review: Supriya Lele A/W 19 Womenswear
Georgina Evans reviews the Supriya Lele A/W 19 womenswear show with writer Tom Rasmussen. Evans comments on the medical and matriarchal influences in the collection: NHS crosses, scrubs blue and jewellery bead spacers knitted into skirts and bags. As well as this she applauds the tailoring, Manolo Blahnik shoe collaboration and the nods to Lele's British-Indian heritage. Rasmussen unpicks the intersect of fetish wear and powerful women, and Lele's exploration of sex and sexuality through a woman's gaze.
