Last updated 20:26 Tue 13 Mar 2007Six years ago I was taking some photos of sculpture poses and noticed that they looked normal and contemporary in the photo but problematically old fashioned when I did them in clay. This seemed slightly suspicious to me and vexing too. Here a problem I had struggled with for years (how not to appear a follower of Rodin) had simply gone POOF! Hmm.Transparent, a walk through. So I happily/guiltily defected to photography. I had done art directing for Grateful Dead parades, Butoh, new vaudeville clowning, and love photos that are theater lit, performance photography for dance, film noir. I love fashion, fashion photographers look like then are having all the fun.
