Is it time? Sure....., it is time!
It Is time for a young, powerful....... creativity, globalize, vision, creation, geniality, innovation,
fantasy, emotion, identity, beauty, culture, wishes, eagerness, dynamic, power…

Young designers are born to wake you up.

"Have you ever stood on a Sunday morning- still a little drowsy- in a crowded and stinking garbage room
of your house fishing from a big container a peculiar city map which be a beautiful old pattern
from the "German fashion world", dated June, first 1892?
Either you have not been so terribly lucky or you have not been persistent, curious and drowsy enough".

From this old pattern, rescued from the garbage, Wilhelm I. developed her own cloth pattern.
The pattern got simply developed to a pattern. Alike fancy Wilhelm
just add a latin number I. to her name and elected her own majestic fashionlabel.

It is this mixture of curiosity the tendency to something strange, to be wide awake, to have
passion, idealism, humour and stubbornness which gives Wilhelm I. her ideas for her collections.

Wilhelm I. was born in Lübeck, a small village in the north of germany, and established in 2003
her fashion label Wilhelm I.. German EXPO, the swiss GWAND fashion award, the Barclay catwalk
award, MTV designerama, PREMIUM Berlin, New Talent NeoZone in Milan / Italy,
Paris a.s.m. helped to get Wilhelms idea national and international accepted.

In 2006 Wilhelm I. consolidated with east hamburg, established the
east design gmbh&co. kg and opened up their first design store, the Wilhelm I. studio.

The avant-garde hotel "east" is situated right in the centre of Hamburg’s entertainment district St.Pauli,
well known for its trendy nightclubs and many bars. "East" signifies emotion, architecture, style and trend.
Opened in October 2004, the hotel has won
several design- awards worldwide, such as the Golden Key Award or the European Hotel Design Award.
