My name is Gerhart Hinse. I am currently pursuing my MFA in Fashion Design at the San Francisco Academy of Art, focussing in menswear design.

A few of my favorite things:

Tastes: bitter dark chocolate, bitter black coffee, sugary sweets, hops and barley, gouda cheese on strawberry jam, nutella on hot toast, cazadores, fried egg on anything, cured hams, unagi, jaeger-redbull

Smells: leather, my old pair of samurais, old churches, fresh rolling tobacco, burnt rubber, freshly brewed black darjeeling, rainy weather, sandalwood, bakeries

Hands: Itchy wool, warm sunlight, soft dry skin, dry denim, concrete, silk noil, weighty anodized aluminum, stone buildings

Sights: neon signs after a rainy night, sharp edges, a new city from a high vantage, people watching, birdwatching ;-), adult swim cartoons, 1960s french movies, 1970s japanese movies, 1980s and '90s american movies, ridiculous gore, surprise nudity

Sounds: new wave, power metal, bossa nova, Hair Metal, hip hop, rock n roll, blues, jazz, punk, bubblegum pop, dry clutches, blow off valves, libraries
