Recognised for her amazing skin preparation and creative make-up, Attracta Courtney is currently one of the leading make-up artists in the international fashion industry and a major player within the British and New York scene. She has also worked and wrote as a Beauty Editor for a leading international deluxe travel, fashion and beauty magazine.
" Courtney's work ranges from drop dead gorgeous natural make up to the
creative arena focussing on bold colours and shapes for the eyes, cheeks,
lips or body. Her reputation is founded on her commitment to enhance and
seek out the essence of internal beauty that lies within.
She believes each model has her own unique beauty and thats her starting
point. Prior to commencing a M/U Courtney feels it is essential to get to
know the spirit of the girl, her personality, see her in the chosen clothes
and be informed of the story line. She says i look to the girl for
inspiration, how does she adopt her given character. My main aim is to
enhance and work with inherent natural beauty whether the emphasis is on the
eyes cheeks skin or the body contours. I believe in illuminating and working
with the girls own unique beauty and most importantly the ultimate aim is
that she feels confident and beautiful and can work the make up and feel in
role for her given character for that particular shoot I love the creative
challenge and the process of transforming the girl before me.
Courtney works with this process and creates a beguiling range of themes of
emotions from ethereal and natural to chic vamp or goddess and temps the
individual into this.
And what of Courtney's hope for the future? " I think that make up is for
everyone and not just for the professionals to work with.
Courtney sees herself as a vanguard in this approach and would like to teach
