I'M A GRADUATE of Brighton University | with a degree in Fashion Design

DAY TO DAY i work as a trends researcher and brand planner/strategist | trends predictor, writer - basically i cool hunt | i take lots of pictures and talk to lots of people | i get paid to observe the world and document new ideas and thinking | i travel around all over the world | track big issues, and small goings-on, translate the information to understand and develop how these trends shape the mindsets and attitudes of consumers and cultures. Record responses and write trends articles - how designers, brands, retailers etc respond to change | evaluate, analyse and contextualise trends | this helps to create and present consumer and design trend reports for my clients

IN MY SPARE TIME YOU WILL FIND ME making clothes and trying to create a collection | wandering around fashion, art, design and cultural exhibitions and galleries | rummaging in charity shops, flea markets and carboots | styling photoshoots | travelling | i love to draw and illustrate all kinds of things - either just because i can, or as part of a fashion collection or commissions for friends and admirers | painting and taking lots of photographs | listening to and watching live music | reading interesting articles, books and trashy magazines | collecting tape cassettes | walking Jimi my Bassett hound
