I have always had a significant interest in the arts ever since I was a child. The fact that I started traveling alone from the age of 13 had a strong impact on my life as it helped me understand my interest and enjoyment of various cultures and environments, as well as widen my appreciation for the built environment. Music, sports and any kind of creative art such as architecture, fashion, product and interior design have always been the elements that I was investigating and experimenting with.
I have a multifaceted working experience as I worked within the fields of architecture as an architectural assistant for a year; of fashion marketing and PR as a PA to the manager of the fashion label Ana Sekularac in London and Paris; of fashion photography as the photographers’ coordinator for the Elle4Lisa show
S/S 2007; of arts and design journalism as the UK correspondent of DELUXE editions, and of a fashion publication like Harper’s Bazaar as a fashion
assistant.
Having studied architecture in a fine art orientated architecture school gave me the opportunity to study art as well as organize exhibitions. The close relationship and
collaboration of the architecture and the fine art school through the everyday environment combined with projects that required exploration of fine art conceptual approaches and representations, encouraged the free exchange of ideas throughout multitude modes of expression from sculpture
and textile design to visual and audio media.
Photography was always a really important way of researching, communicating,
practicing and expressing ideas and a vital part of my projects.
When i find the time to go back to my sunny country, that is Greece, i spend my days scuba-diving, water skiing, partying and play the piano. Music has always been in my life since the age of 5 when i studied playing the piano.
Being the second member of the duet "Speak and Spell", me and my music partner compose ambient and electronic music for exhibitions.
Our first one was "Reality Undone", last year at the final show of the Curator's MA of the UNi of Essex..with many more events and surprises to follow!
