Villa Warsaw

Housed in a quirky modernist-meets crafts villa, built by Antoni Moniuszko in the Warsaw quarter of Ochota, on Barska street is 'Holiday Villa Warsaw', a week-long event that encompasses an exhibition, a performance venue, a meeting place and a focal point for exploring Warsaw and beyond. The villa is mase of corridors and rooms encompassing purpose-built rooms, shelving, cupboards and passages studded with rustic beams and vase-like, shaped stoves.
Participating galleries have brought works to the villa rooms -sculptural, two-dimersional and filmic- but it is the performative and social space that has been the most definitive aspect of the project. Following are a few of the projects that developed out the the situation and programme.
