LIVE 22 & 23 January 2004
Self Service come to town to photograph the cream of the London scene live inside the SHOWstudio space. Visitors to the site can log on to see who is selected from their remit to document the 'family trees' of influential people at the fore of London's scene. Photographed for Issue 20, Spring/Summer 2004, will be a portfolio of designers, musicians, artists, photographers, writers, thinkers - people who make up the 'London spirit'. 'Stars and Styles' seeks out both establishment and avant-garde, artistic community and fashionable society, old and new friends, and friends of friends.
Each person will pose in front of the flash of an original 1970s Polaroid 'Land' camera, whilst intimate moments and one-on-one conversations are also documented to provide a social commentary of the minds and faces of a loose network of personalities who create one of the world's most inspiring cities.
