The winner will be invited to work at Perry's studio for one day as one of his assistants. They will also be given the opportunity to discuss their portfolio of work.
Biography
Perry Ogden is a photographer and filmmaker based in London. His photographs have appeared in magazines including Italian Vogue, L'Uomo Vogue, W, Face and Arena and he has also shot advertising campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Chloe and Calvin Klein. These have supplemented personal projects including the 'Pony Kids' photographs, which were published by Jonathan Cape/Aperture in 1999. Ogden's photographs of Francis Bacon's studio were published by Thames and Hudson in 2001 and have recently been exhibited at the Foundation Beyeler in Basle, Museu Serralves in Porto and the Foundation van Gogh in Arles. Since 1999, Ogden has been running the Ballymun Photo Project, in the Dublin suburb of Ballymun, enabling children from the Holy Spirit School to document the regeneration of Ballymun, the largest urban renewal project currently taking place in Europe. His first feature film 'Pavee Lackeen' was screened in Venice, Toronto, Ireland and at the London Film Festival.
