Biography

Bettina Von Zwehl is a photographer who is from Munich and currently lives and works in London. She studied Photography at the London College of Communication and went on to complete her Masters at the Royal College of Art. Her work has been shown in the UK, USA and across Europe. Her most recent exhibitions took place at the Photographer's Gallery, London in December 2004 and at the Victoria Miro Gallery, London in January 2005. Bettina's acclaimed untitled three part series featuring her sleep deprived, physically exerted and strained subjects, appeared in Charlotte Cotton's book, 'The Photograph as Contemporary Art' and in the February 2000 edition of Sleazenation magazine. A monograph of Bettina's work will also be co-published by Steidl & Photoworks in Spring 2006.
