‘Something that interests me greatly is the concealed vulnerability behind an immaculate space. My installation work includes some of these elements. It's a bit like that mental exercise we play sometimes, when we look up and wonder what hides behind the windows of the proudest, tallest skyscraper. Describe something you have witnessed or you would like to witness and make it into an action story.’

Biography
Ana Laura is a performance and video artist whose work is based on space and human scale. Her past projects include the controversial installation 'Dance and Disco' at the Reina Sofia National Museum, Madrid, designing the beauty cabinet prototype for the Palais de Tokio, Paris in collaboration with the cosmetics brand Shiseido. In 2004, she revisited the idea of a club and transformed it into a violent architectural statement in the form of a ray across Helsinki's Taidemuseo Tennispalatsi. Ana Laura has also collaborated with musician ASCII.disko and electronic duo Silvania on the soundtracks of her various music video projects. She is co-founder of interior design project 'Geometrical Life', and her photography has been featured in publications including NEO 2. Her most recent project is the creation of the 'Goodbye Horses' installation at the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, Oslo.
