Designer Maria Chen Pascual often displays an interest in both music and history in the clothing she creates. Her S/S '04 collection is no exception, clearly continuing her development of these themes. Mixing 1960s rock legend imagery with Georgian and Edwardian furniture designs, she has created a delicately drawn print which creates the impression of a charming 'alternative camouflage', covertly comprised of violins and elaborate dining chairs. Printed onto signature slashed fabrics, tulle and distressed lace, the predominating colours are pink and black, giving the show an overall feel of Gothic Romanticism. Her downloadable T-shirt design for SHOWstudio is in keeping with this latest eclectic collection.
