Supermodel Erin O'Connor, the prerequisite presence of so many Couture catwalks, will be using a picture message phone to capture images live at this most exclusive fashion spectacular. Expensive, extravagant and excessive, Haute Couture was once labelled a dying art. However, as the impending shows in Paris will prove, Couture is alive and well. As a celebration of the art and craft of fashion, Haute Couture showcases the most highly skilled dressmakers in the world as practicality is put aside and fantasy reigns. Organised by the Chambre Syndicale, shows run from July 7th to July the 10th at various locations around the city. Nothing less than splendour, glitz and glamour should be expected as, among others, Galliano, Gaultier and Lacroix take centre stage.
