Here are some image for the Martin Margiela board- numbers 1-4 are my ideas and patterncutting ideas.....I decided to focus on creating a volume from a flat pattern....I took iinspiration from the Russian Constructivist Propoganda posters by cutting Russian typographic shapes out of fabric and started sewing them together...round letters to straight edges. The centre front panel coninues into the back and is taken from the basic block!!!I really enjoyed doing something creative, I have just graduated from a contour design degree and have a free summer before I begin studying an M.A iin Fashion at the Royal College of Art.
