Project Info
'Karni's Circus' is a photographic shoot which substitutes skilled performing artists in place of models. Each performer is chosen for their inherent dependence on a creative partner in their symbiotic relationship to function as performers. Arieli will shoot stills as well as short motion-image clips of 3 different pairs of artists. Both still image and motion clips will reference Muybridge's experimental photographic sequences, and function like a 'flip-book of movement'. Three mini narratives will occur over the 6 days:
Day 1 and 2: The Aerialists Rakel Veganzones and Girisho
Day 3 and 4: The Circus Performer Dela Seward
Day 5 and 6: The Choreographer & The Dancer Sarah Warsop and Pari Naderi

Sequence#2: Dela wears cream knitted dress by Roland Mouret, socks stylist's own, cream knitted dress with chiffon overlay by Bora Aksu and socks stylist's own.
Sequence#3: Dela wears cream leotard with high neck and cream knitted skirt by Bora Aksu.
Animation: Dela wears sweater by Vintage Galliano and long johns and socks stylist's own.
The Choreographer & The Dancer
Sequence#1: Sarah wears a dress by Preen and Pari wears a dress by Bora Aksu.
Sequence#2: Sarah and Pari wear dresses by Bora Aksu.
Sequence#3: Sarah and Pari change tops, Sarah and Pari wear sweater by Sophie Malig, smock toop by Matthew Williamson, knickers stylist's own.
