‘You’ll See It Better When It’s Upside Down’ by Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Sometimes it’s the simplest ideas that work the best – certainly this is the case with our latest Future Tense film from designer Mary Ping’s Slow and Steady Wins the Race. This is a label that wittily references fashion’s stalwart staples (the pearl-necklace, the wedding dress, the white t-shirt) and turns them on their head - witness their ‘Luxe’ $1,000 four-sided Birkin. Her film continue in that tradition: You’ll See It Better When It’s Upside Down does exactly what it says on the tin, turning the whole world on its head bar Ping’s iconic re-appropriated designer accessories. So simple, and yet fiendishly clever.
