Created from images captured in 360 degrees using 35 individual cameras -a moment literally frozen in space- the final flowering of our Flowers For Kate project is 'Bloom', a film created from stills photographed during the two-day shoot for V magazine. Contrasting brilliant, luminescent colour against stark white backgrounds and finding floral metaphor in the graphic silhouettes of Spring's collections, Kate becomes flowers and flowers become Kate. The poetry of Roddy Lumsden, composed on set and read by Kate herself, provides the perfect soundtrack for this most modern of blooms.

Say it with flowers: on 12 & 13 December 2007, we photographed a story for V magazine featuring the one and only Kate Moss. SHOWstudio offered its viewers a unique chance to be part of the shoot by sending a personal floral greeting to Kate.
A twist on the many photo stories then in production, documenting the floral trend that dominated the S/S '08 collections, our brief was instead to create a floral context for Kate. In the three weeks preceding the shoot, Nick Knight photographed a variety of flowers to create 'silhouette masks' to be used in the post production of a final film.
The final movie intertwines swirling, luminescent colour, the twirling iconic form of Moss herself and an intimate spoken soundtrack featuring Roddy Lumsden's poem 'Bloom', composed live on set and delivered by none other than Kate herself.

Kate Speaks...Poetry!
Nick Knight's 360 degree 'time slice' shots of Kate Moss, captured on our shoot for V last December, may still burn on your retina. But now let the voice of Kate Moss ring in your ears! For the the film they were destined to create is now complete and ready for viewing. With the magazine on the newsstands, this final flowering has come at an opportune time. Flooded with swirling, luminescent colour, hypnotic silhouettes and with Kate's spoken soundtrack of Roddy Lumsden's poem 'Bloom' that he composed on set, horticulture has never seemed quite so fascinating.
