Another Man is out, which means we can at last unveil Nick and Alister's images from Boned, shot in May/June! You may remember the shoot was inspired by the neglect of men’s underwear, in terms of design and representation in fashion imagery i.e. the usual unadventurous pants donned by an oiled muscle man. Nothing wrong with that per se…But, by commissioning new designs, taking inspiration from starkly sexy black and white imagery by Robert Mapplethorpe and Horst P. Horst and converting their graphic power into glorious Technicolor, fresh looking possibilities for men's smalls were reached. The Boned project page has been updated to include an image gallery, an essay by Shaun Cole on themes close to the project and a movie of all the action on set.

It's been a long day, but at last the team's happy with the shots. All that remains is for them to decide which ones will make it into the story.

What a pro! Anthony, who works in adult films, has come down to demonstrate one of his big talents for this evening's shoot (but more about that later). When not on set, Anthony trains as a web designer. By the sound of it, he might come in useful at SHOWstudio too.

Andrew was rather wowed by Val's mattifying demo with Marco and no shrinking violet, asked for one of his own! Here, modelling YSL Matt Touch, then, is SHOWstudio's Andrew Gow, who's been telling anyone who will listen about "Val's special stroke" ever since.

Watch and Learn while Val explains how you too can look like Marko.

Always at the ready to seize a great photo opportunity, Penny and I snuck around the back of the shoot for an alternative angle. I don't think Simon and Ruth look too pleased. Maybe best to keep a low profile for a while.

St Simeon Stylites spent 37 years living on top of a plinth in an attempt to escape the world 'vertically'. We say: if you're that intent on suffering, you might as well do it stylishly. In a corset by Marios Schwab as pictured here for example.

Nick takes a seat behind the camera for a close-up on Marko as he poses in a Gareth Pugh vest.

Having reviewed yesterday's shots, Nick has decided to close the set to onlookers so that he can get some close-ups in private. Don't worry, though, there's privileged access via the live stream, of course.

We've managed to get through eight terribly chic looks today and we're behind schedule by just a whisker. Join us tomorrow for another exciting line-up.

You know the drill...

Marko Brozic looks ready to walk onto the set of a Visconti film with that string corset on. Alister makes sure the strings cascade suggestively over his sheer boxers so as not to give too much away.

While Dolly's dulcet tones fill the air, Sam and his assistant, Christian, slick Taylor's hair into a decadent side-parting. He looks quite the Bright Young Thing in those driving gloves and fur stole.

(We all highly recommend it)

The studio was beginning to resemble an opium den with the industrial heaters blazing their red glow into the infinity cove. To complete this picture, Sean is now sporting chapeau, black corset and cravatte and reclines languidly with fashionable insouciance.

In this scene, the light has to be perfect in order to lend a sense of drama. Simon and Ruth have set up the spotlights while Alister enhances the model's pose of artful dishevelment - notoriously difficult to get just right.

Most of the underwear that you see in the shoot are vintage pieces that have been re-worked by seamstress Morgan Hesmondhalgh. Sean, our model for the shoot's third instalment, has very kindly obliged to lift his shirt for us just so we can take a closer look: check out that lacework!

The bright white halo you see in this film is in fact model Marko's posterior - the team need to make sure there is enough light on it to catch all the beautiful pearl detailing on his undies.
