The release of a new Björk album can only mean two things: new musical territory, the likes of which the world has never experienced, and a cover image to match. 'Volta', Björk’s sixth studio album, was released on 7 May 2007 and its cover image, shot by Nick Knight, certainly was unlike anything we’ve ever seen! From April, we offered you a sneak peek in advance of the launch with a special download jigsaw: an opportunity, on completion, to possess your very own, giant Nick Knight/Björk/Bernhard Willhelm original.
The overall image was composed of 48 pieces, 34 of which have image content and 14 left blank. Each segment was given in random order, leaving viewers to piece the overall image together themselves. Only one piece could be downloaded on a single day but the next was waiting for you without skipping a segment, which meant if you missed a few days, the next piece would always be the next in the jigsaw chronology. You may have just about worked out the image puzzle by the time you bought the album!

I just have to say that I've got a lot of love for this SHOWstudio project!!
I have just downloaded my 12th piece today. Now I don't actually know how the final image looks so I'm really enjoying putting it together!!!
So far though it has looked like a bunch of seemingly random shapes and crazy colours - with a mysterious whisper of hair, which was seen on the first piece I got... But then yesterday's download was Björk's face and it was like the twist in the series because not only has it solved the mystery behind the piece with the hair but it has also completely changed the whole feeling of this jigsaw puzzle!!
So with nearly two thirds of the final image still to go I'm just left waiting and wondering what exactly I'll be downloading next because each piece has just seemed fairly disconnected and random?!?
Now I'm not a very impatient person - but I really can't wait to finish it!!!...

...which means that in ten days (or less if you do a FORUM swap), you'll be able to send a picture of your print in situ to the Download Gallery. Make sure you're in shot! We want a good look at you and your surroundings!
OK...and about the music !.....
The ' Earth Intruders Club Mixes - Ep ' are great...but the ...Instrumental ( 4.29 ) is one of the best ....!!
