Marat at his last breath

Adolf Hitler's original ambition was to become an ARTIST....I wish he could had been able to do so, at least a middle of the road one with some recognition, then perhaps that would had helped to tame his utterly distorted ego ! Had that happened then in the end the world would had been spared of a such vile and devastating monster ... Art would had as a matter of fact helped to contain him by confining him to the walls of an atelier, and then very probably so much unnecessary human pain and suffering would had been surely avoided in the end.
Ever heard of Jacques-Louis David ? I like to think that his artistic occupation at least ' minimised' the pain and damaged he was able to inflict on humans ! , we will never know , but who knows how much more pain he would had been able to inflict had he dedicated his life exclusively to politics ! .....

In the end It all depends how you look at it of course ....

Unfortunately artist aren't always that altruist, compassionate or 'angels' in disguise .... as we would ideally like to think..... for one thing artist can be ruthless , absolutely selfish, jealous, totally egocentrics, merciless and incredible uncharitable ... but there are exceptions of course just like among us ordinary mortals .......

In reply to Galileo's Universe:

A breath of fresh air, I agree, which is a point I was making.
I learnt a long time ago when you look at people or art, and see what you like, dont look bellow the surface if you want to keep that impression.? You might find something that turns you off. Would we have a pop industry I wonder.?
