Ryan McGinley will hopefully be shooting a lot more editorials soon. He did a really great job with that one. There's an unpublished photo from the series of Kate and Pete in a bathtub, covered in orange light, that reminded me a lot of Nan Goldin's work. I think it went unpublished because it didn't have continuity with the rest of the images but it was a really striking image. The editorial is another example of hopefully what's to come to the more conservative magazines.

W is one of the few US mainstream fashion magazines that allow photographers to do more experimental and less commercial photos, they really try to hit the right balance.

so beautiful ... so painterly. i love it. the use of the fog is brilliant. it was great to see a fresh face in the pages of W.
