Steven Meisel is appropriate for what he does. Hes a lotter better than some, and not as great as others. I believe hes a bit too commercial, but often I enjoy his color palette. Steven Klein is about the same for me.

I really like his work. really versatile. in October, i was shooting in soho,nyc and he was standing not 5 feet from me watching. i was not as intimidated as i was inspired! i was hoping for some osmosis to occur!!
